How we collect, use and protect your personal data.
This policy has not been published yet. The headings below are a checklist of what it needs to cover — they are deliberately empty. Privacy policies carry legal weight and must be written or reviewed by someone qualified, not drafted from a template. Registration currently asks users to agree to this page, so it should be a priority.
What this policy will need to cover
- What personal data is collected — name, email, phone, payment identifiers, learning activity
- Why each type is collected, and the lawful basis for it
- Who it is shared with — Appwrite (hosting and authentication), ClickPesa (payments), Google (optional sign-in)
- How long records are kept, and what happens on account deletion
- What rights learners have, and how to exercise them
- How to contact you about a data question or complaint
- Whether data leaves Tanzania, and under what safeguards
